More Information from Scott Ramsay:
I spent three years travelling to more than 40 of South Africa’s national parks and nature reserves, spending several weeks – sometimes months – in each one, taking photos and interviewing rangers, researchers and other conservationists. I visited each park at least three times, in different seasons, learning about the land, the oceans, the animals, and the people who work to protect them.
From the huge arid lands of the Kgalagadi to the teeming wildlife of Kruger, from the fynbos-rich Table Mountain National Park to the wild coast of Mkambati, I’m happiest when immersed in wild places, and I hope this book (my first) reflects my enthusiasm and love for African conservation and wildlife.
